About these terms
These terms are between you and The Bookkeepers Alliance Limited ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09708846, whose registered office is at 18 New Road, Clanfield, Waterlooville, PO8 0NS, United Kingdom. They apply to bkpr.co.uk, the member portal at member.bkpr.co.uk, and everything you buy from us.
By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.
Your account
- You must give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Your account is for you. Please do not share your sign-in details or let others use your membership.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Memberships
- Memberships are paid by recurring subscription. The price, billing period and anything included are shown before you pay.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- We do not refund part-used billing periods.
- If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it is resolved.
- We may change membership prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you wish.
Courses and one-off purchases
- Courses are bought with a one-off payment unless stated otherwise.
- Where a course has a start date, you can access it from that date.
- "Lifetime access" means access for as long as we continue to offer the course, and for at least two years from your purchase.
- Refunds: you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have not yet accessed any of the course content. Once you have started the course, it cannot be refunded. To request a refund, contact us.
- If we cancel a course before it starts, we will refund you in full.
Events and mentoring calls
- Some events and calls are included with certain memberships. Others may need booking or payment.
- Please cancel a booking you cannot attend so the place can go to someone else.
- We may need to reschedule or cancel an event. If you paid separately for it, we will offer you another date or a refund.
Using our content
Templates, guides, videos, tools and other materials remain our property or that of our licensors. While you are a member or have course access, you may use them in running your own bookkeeping practice, including adapting templates for your own clients.
You may not resell, share, publish or redistribute our materials, or make them available to people who are not members, without our written permission.
The member community
Please be respectful and professional. Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or confidential, including client information. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Not professional advice
Our materials, events and mentoring give general guidance to help you run your practice. They are not legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice. You remain responsible for your own professional decisions and for meeting your obligations to your clients and supervisory body.
Our responsibility to you
- We aim to keep our services available and accurate, but we cannot promise they will always be uninterrupted or error free.
- We are not responsible for loss of profit, business, revenue or data, or for any indirect loss.
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your access
You can close your account at any time by cancelling your membership and contacting us. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we close an account for another reason, we will refund any unused part of a payment.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects you, we will let you know by email before it applies.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
